依據外國學生來台就學辦法,申請人必須符合下列其一身分,才得以外國學生身分申請本校:
According to Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan,
you must meet ONE of the following requirements in order to apply for admission as an international student in Taiwan:
A person of foreign nationality who has NEVER held Republic of China (Taiwan, R.O.C.) nationality and who does NOT have Overseas Chinese student status at the time of the application.
A person who holds both foreign and the R.O.C nationality but has never held household registration in Taiwan. At the time of his/her application, he/she should have resided overseas (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China) continuously for no less than 6 years; his/her stays in Taiwan per calendar year should not exceed a total of 120 days either
A person who previously held R.O.C. nationality, but who, at the time of application, has already given up the nationality, which shall have been annulled by the Ministry of the Interior for no less than 8 years. At the time of his/her application, an individual of this kind should have resided overseas (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China) continuously for no less than 6 years; his/her stays in Taiwan per calendar year should not exceed a total of 120 days either.
An applicant of foreign nationality, concurrently holding permanent residence status in Hong Kong or Macao, having no history of a household registration record in Taiwan, and at the time of application, has resided in Hong Kong, Macao or another foreign country (excluding Mainland China) for no less than 6 years and whose stays in Taiwan per calendar year do not exceed a total of 120 days.
An applicant being a former citizen of Mainland China and who holds foreign nationality, having no history of household registration records in Taiwan, and at the time of application, has resided overseas (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China) continuously for no less than 6 years, and whose stays in Taiwan per calendar year do not exceed a total of 120 days.
International students that have studied in the universities of Taiwan must meet the requirements of the previous identity categories and the following degree/diploma standards may apply to transfer into undergraduate programs, but are not exempt from the limitations of having “lived overseas for more than 6 consecutive years by the time of application”.
一、出生時父或母為中華民國國民(民國 69年 2月 9日(含)前出生者,僅以父親為準)
二、出生於父或母死亡後,其父或母死亡時為中華民國國民。
三、出生於中華民國領域內,父母均無可考,或均無國籍者。
四、歸化者。
By the law of<Nationality Act>Article 2:
A person shall have the nationality of the Republic of China (ROC) under any of the conditions provided by the following Subparagraphs:
The provisions of Subparagraphs 1 and 2 in the preceding paragraph shall be also applicable to those under the age of 20 at the time of the amendment and implementation of this Act on February 9, 2000.
The information above is based on the law of Ministry of Education: International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. International students applying for schools in Taiwan shall be limited to one application only. Upon completion of the course of study, at a school in Taiwan, to which an international student has applied, the student's admission to another school’s academic level shall be handled in a manner identical to the admission procedures for local students. An exception is that an application for a master’s degree or higher levels of graduate studies can be processed under the procedures of each individual school.
Except for postgraduate programs, most of the courses in CTU are instructed in Chinese in undergraduate programs. Applicants are expected to have sufficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability in Chinese language to apply for undergraduate programs.
